In these times of war
on battlefields and in the hearts
let us come together
for all that makes us human.

Dear visitor.

In 2024, composer Lyhrus created his REQUIEM, a work for six chamber choirs and ensembles that allows both singers and listeners to experience a new interplay of time, sound, silence, and space.

The composition, interwoven with repetitions and memories, its haunting melodies, and cyclical chants draw the listener deep into a focus on the present moment. In its beauty and tranquility, Lyhrus's REQUIEM becomes a sonic and spatial experience that, especially in times of profound social tension, reminds us of the primal connection that binds us as human beings.

The Requiem was premiered in four partial performances in Berlin, Potsdam, and Lübeck, culminating in a sold-out performance of the entire work before more than 1,200 guests at Berlin Cathedral.
